Is Lurtz racing? with Davies out because he is on the pool, and Vd Weijdin on the sidelines, Lurtz has to be the fav now?

What about the womens, the Russian’s always look pretty strong?

Lurz maybe, but do not forget Cleri. At home he will be the guy to beat. In Ostia there will be a lot of waves and he is good in these conditions. Gianniotis is also a good one

I apologize for the delay in responding to this post.  I saw the men’s 10K race this morning in Ostia, Italy and it was a classic race.  Thomas Lurz was gutsy, winning a very tactical race only 24 hours after winning the world championship 5K race which was also a very tough race.

Around the last turn buoy with less than 650 meters to go, there were 20+ guys who rounded that buoy with a chance to medal.

Lurz won in a comfortable distance despite being the oldest competitor in the field. His double victory was incredible.
