A word to the very active Mid-Atlantic and East Coast open water swimming community: Open Water Swimming Virginia bloggers Allison, Caroline and Elizabeth reported that the annual Jack King Ocean Swim in Virginia Beach will be held on June 27th this year, one week later than usual.

The 27th annual Jack King Ocean Swim honors the life of Mount Trashmore YMCA swimmer Jack King which was cut short at the age of 38 due to liver cancer in 1985.
